Klopp thanks Minamino
On the side of Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp paid tribute to Minamino after his departure on the official website of the English club: “It’s hard to see Taki go, but it’s a big change for him and he totally deserves it. An amazing professional, a super talented player. As a person, he’s full of warmth and makes everyone positive. A manager’s dream, to be honest. I’m sure there will be those who think it didn’t work. Those who think it’s wrong. I don’t accept it.”
“His contribution far exceeds the opportunities we were able to give him, in terms of the start of the game. He made us better every day he was with us – not just in the supposed games he participated in, but every training session. A perfect attitude, a winning mentality. His performances and his goals are the reason why we had to redecorate the Wall of Champions so often. His accomplishments here will stand the test of time. I know he will be very successful in Monaco. I’m sure we watch him with a mixture of celebration and envy as he progresses and blossoms there. He leaves with our gratitude and best wishes. Thank you, Taki”a concluding the technician of the Reds.
