Strike at the Toulouse Purpan University Hospital: Nupes deputies play mediators
Four Nupe deputies from Haute-Garonne met the caregivers on Monday. Then, they called on the management of the CHU Toulouse Purpan to “listen to the strikers”.
The request comes from the deputies. This Monday, four parliamentarians from Haute-Garonne went to meet the striking caregivers of the CHU Toulouse Purpan. The meeting is given in the premises of the unions loved at the bottom of the Hôtel-Dieu Saint-Jacques, which house the headquarters of the Toulouse Hospitals and the functional departments of the Toulouse University Hospital. It is 10:30 a.m. when François Piquemal, MP for the 4th constituency, Hadrien Clouet, MP for the 1st constituency, Anne Stambach-Terrenoir, MP for the 2nd constituency and Christophe Bex, MP for the 7th constituency show up. None wear the tricolor scarf. “We displayed it a lot during our last outings. Today, it’s a little more informal,” says François Piquemal.

For the MP from the 4th constituency, the parliamentarians “simply did what they had to do”. “We listened to what the caregivers had to say. They ask to have human means to properly treat Toulouse residents. We reaffirmed our support for their movement and wished to call the competent authorities. In this case, the hospital management,” he says.
Anne Stambach-Terrenoir and Christophe Bex were received by management, with the hope of speeding up negotiations, which are currently at a standstill. We call on the CHU to reopen the dialogue and to hear the legitimate demands of caregivers, ”urges the MP for the 2nd district.
