Prague is solving the “Hlubuček case”. The opposition calls for the responsibility of Hřib and Scheinherr
Representatives of the capital city of Prague are again discussing the background of the corruption case around the transport company (DPP), in which the councilor and deputy mayor Petr Hlubuček (STAN) were also charged. An extraordinary meeting was convened by the opposition ODS and YES. City council awareness is less limited, to which the DPP can decide on property transactions without the city.
An extraordinary meeting was voted on by representatives from the opposition ODS and ANO, who criticized the coalitions in the city leadership for their inaction. Patrik Nacher, deputy and candidate for mayor for the YES movement, said he wanted to initiate the dismissal of Mayor Zdeněk Hřiba (Pirates). His deputy for transport and chairman of the DPP supervisory board Adam Scheinherr (Prague himself), who filed a criminal complaint against the group two years ago, was also criticized. According to the ODS, he could have taken further steps.
Today, the councilors of the capital changed the statutes of the Prague transport company from the position of the general meeting so that its management will no longer be able to decide on property transactions over 50 million crowns without the consent of the metropolitan management. So far, the limit has been about six billion crowns.
Councilor Hana Marvanová (STAN) advocated the change of the statutes at the meeting of the deputies, who also prepared the proposal approved today. She added that she had used the change for a long time. “For me, it’s a conceptual change that I’ve been using for a long time to have more control over management,” she said. The change will take effect in the near future after the entry of a new version of the Articles of Association in the Commercial Register.
