I am standing at the main stage, where he trains several competitions. Yo-yos are flying around them in all directions. It doesn’t compete completely with a regular yoyo. “The yoyo is not tied at the end, so it does not automatically return to the hand, but there is a ball bearing. Thanks to that, they can do other tricks. Each contestant chooses their song, which is cut for three minutes, in which the contestant shows the best tricks they can do, “ explains the organizer of the event Tomáš Bubák.

Veronika Kamenská, one of the few Czech yo-yo women, won the women’s category. “Something can always go wrong, especially in yo-yoing. All you have to do is throw the string badly once and the yoyo will get tangled. I knew that if I didn’t go wrong, there should be a great chance, “said Kamenská.
Jakub Dolejš, the representative of the Czech Republic, became the new European champion. “I definitely knew I had it. But I have a style that is difficult, so there will always be some mistakes, “said the winner of his performance, whose freestyle was also evaluated by one of the jurors.
“Cuba won because it was a great show. At the same time, he was also the best in the technical category, which evaluates the difficulty of tricks. It was definitely a well-deserved win, “said Václav Kroutil.
The Czech Yoyer community is the largest in Europe – some are already preparing for the World Cup, which will take place in Tokyo, Japan in August.
