There will be decorative coverings in new places in Bajcsy Street in Debrecen
The management of Debrecen considers the development of all parts of the city important, however, it views the city center especially because of its special tourist significance.
– emphasized local government representative Aurélia Orosz Ibolya at a press conference on Friday morning at the intersection of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky and Pásti streets. As he pointed out, the aim is to maintain and expand the aesthetic, orderly cityscape, as well as to create more pedestrian streets and free the area from car traffic.
In accordance with all this, the local government will take care of the pedestrian street section on the new section established in Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Street, namely in the area between the passage of Hal köz and Pásti Street.
The MP also indicated that construction will begin early in the morning on July 4 and is expected to last until mid-August. This will lead to a change in traffic already then, as it includes the intersection of Bajcsy and Pásti streets, Pásti utca will be a two-way dead end and parking will be temporarily discontinued. It will be possible to top up the affected stores from the Bull Block between 6 and 8 p.m. Discounted public season tickets can be parked in Hatvan Street between Tisza István and Kossuth Square, in Bajcsy between Tisza and Nyugati Streets, and in the Aranybika block inside during the works and after the investment.
We also learned that as a result of the work to be carried out from the local government’s own resources for HUF 130 million, visitors will be welcomed by visitors to the new environment. Only licensed residents and freighters will be able to enter the area.
