The Catholic Church in Debrecen also takes over the care of addicts
The representative body of the Debrecen local government also voted on Thursday to sell the property at 48 Jókai Street by auction. In addition to the 1155 square meter “removed undeveloped” closed-line construction area, it can be installed with a minimum plot size of 1000 square meters, a 50 percent buildability, and a maximum building height of 10 meters. The minimum amount of green space is 40 percent. The starting price of the property will be HUF 115,885 + VAT.
Based on the decision of the plenary, the room at 37 Hatvan Street can also be sold by auction. In the 1575-square-meter condominium, the municipality has a 413-square-foot portion (which is 15 storage compartments at basement level in poor technical condition). The starting price of the property is HUF 42.51 million.
The panel also accepted that the part of the property at 49 Széchenyi Street could also be sold by auction. The almost 800 square meters of land is partly owned by the municipality of Debrecen. The other 530-square-foot portion of the site is owned by a business. The property can be built with a minimum plot size of 1,500 square meters, a 50% build-in height, and a building height of 9,5 square meters, in the case of a settlement center classified as a settlement center, city center; the minimum amount of green space is 40 percent. The starting bidder at the auction is therefore HUF 79.95 million + VAT.
There will also be church nurseries
The city councilors of Debrecen also voted that the local government could give free ownership of 3,000 square meters of undeveloped real estate in Nádsíp Street to the Reformed Missionary Parish of Debrecen-Nagysándor, to provide child welfare services to facilitate the performance of public tasks. As a condition, it has been determined that the parish will replace the subsoil of the property at its own expense, may not dispose of the property for 15 years, and is obliged to use it in accordance with the purpose of the benefit and to preserve its condition.
Mayor László Papp indicated that the Greek Catholic Church had applied successfully, so a church farm nursery could also be established in Egressy Béni Square.
The city council of Debrecen also dealt with the petition of the Waldorf Primary School and the foundation for the “Good Rhythm” Art Education at the general assembly on Thursday. The leaders of the organizations have indicated that they need additional room use to start the 2022/2023 school year and the emerging high school, specifically two classrooms with a total useful floor area of 93.5 square meters and the basements below them, for free use. The general meeting approved the request.
They will open their gates soon
In addition to the above, the local government representatives also accepted that the Csokonai Forum at Csapó utca 30, which will be completed soon (after the completion of the technical handover procedure of the internal construction works), should be the Csokonai Theater. At the same time, the director of the institution was instructed that the technical handover was arranged outside the next line for the conclusion of the maintenance contracts required by law.
Mayor László Papp announced that the new institution is expected to open inauguration in the next theatrical season.
It is a decision that the local government will make the Sziget-blue theme park on the streets of Oláh Gábor, which will soon be handed over to Nagyerdei Kultúrpark Nonprofit Kft. (also from the day after the completion of the technical handover procedure, for an indefinite period), to provide a public task (for cultural, sports, youth affairs) and the necessary infrastructure. The park planning tasks are performed by the local government, while during the utilization period Nagyerdei Kultúrpark Nonprofit Kft. Is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the specified properties.
In connection with this, Mayor László Papp expressed that the new facility will be a highlight of the Great Forest and can serve families and children for four seasons.
High-volume economic development
The topics of the meeting were the initiation of the free acquisition of certain properties in the Southern Economic Zone (DGÖ) owned by the Hungarian State, as well as the decisions necessary for the implementation of the developments affecting the utility infrastructure of the DGÖ. In connection with the latter, the presentation is currently taking place: one of the largest economic development processes in the country is taking place in Debrecen. In recent years, the city has become one of Hungary’s cities with the most outstanding economic potential as a result of Debrecen’s management’s emphasis on achieving economic development goals, its commitment to developments that increase the city’s competitiveness, job creation and population retention.
The government concluded several agreements with the concept of the infrastructural development of the Southern Economic Zone in Debrecen, its preparation and the scheduled implementation of certain elements, based on which it decided to provide only HUF 10.2 billion in funding to the local government, as on the agenda of the previous board meeting.
New kindergarten leaders
Thursday’s general meeting also approved that Lavender Kindergarten be run by Anita Lukácsné Széles, the current deputy head of the institution. He only voted for the General Assembly to award the title of honorary principal to Béla Törő, the current head of kindergarten, on August 1, 2022, in recognition of his outstanding work as an institution manager for more than a decade.
It was also approved that the Gönczy Pál Street Kindergarten should be higher than Stefániné Máté Zsófia Irén. In addition, it was decided that the Görgey Street Kindergarten will still be run by the current leader, Tünde Edit Erdélyi.
The Board of Representatives also supported the proposal that the municipality should terminate the supply contract with the Association of Spiritual Helpers of the Source by mutual agreement from 30 June. For this reason, the real estate lease agreement on Kishegyesi út will also be terminated by mutual agreement. Only the city will conclude an indefinite care contract with the diocesan maintainer of the Diocese of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza from 1 July with family assistance, child welfare services, day and community care for addicts and psychiatric patients, and low-threshold care for the addicted to perform tasks related to the provision of At the same time, the board gave free use of the public task of the Kishegyesi út real estate (child welfare services and benefits, social services and benefits) to the Diocese of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza from 1 July 2022 indefinitely.
