Czechoslovak boxing representative and coach Andert celebrates his 75th birthday
He wore a jersey with a lion’s chest, in the jersey of the Czechoslovak national team he boxed against rivals from Cuba, Austria or Poland. He won the Czechoslovak title, won the Moravian and Czech championships. On Saturday, June 18, Carob and renowned coach Jaromír Andert celebrates his 75th birthday.

The Brno native spent six years in České Budějovice, where he competed in the extra league. He narrowly missed the participation in the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972. He ended his career with ninety duels.
He lost his leading role in the film and the Olympics. Boxing remained Andert’s passion
After returning to Brno, he embarked on a coaching career and in 1997 he founded his own team called Knokaut Brno. He advanced with him to the first league and raised a number of boxers. “I had good, hard-working and sincere charges who were not as pissed off as today’s young people. There are a lot of them now, just to say they’re boxing. They don’t have the heart a boxer needs, “Andert compares.
On his birthday, the sports staff of Deník Rovnost wishes him good health, happiness and optimism for many years to come.
