The bar athlete from Debrecen can represent Hungary at the World Championships in Italy
Debrecen – At the Hungarian pole vault championship, Monica Vasilescu won the category of professionals over the age of 40, thus qualifying for the December pole vault world championship.
The goals of the Hungarian Air Sports Association include, among other things, to represent, popular and develop all fields of pole dancing and other air sports in Hungary in a comprehensive manner, as well as to organize competitions. The 2022 MALESZ Hungarian Championship in bars, hoops, silk and hammocks was held on 21 and 22 May at the Folyondár Vasas Sports and Dance Center in the capital.

In the amateur and professional categories, the competitors competed in different age groups, and the goal was to qualify for the European or World Championships.
The competitor from Debrecen also started in this year’s championship: Monica Vasilescu started in the category of professionals over the age of 40, which she won, so she can represent Hungary at the world championship in Sassuolo, Italy, in December.
– In principle, I should rest after the Hungarian Championship, but my thoughts are already on the World Cup preparations. It is an honor for me to represent Hungary in this category at the World Cup in Italy this year. I hope I will be worthy of this task. It will be a phenomenal feeling to be on stage with the best in the world, and although I still have a lot of work to do, I am very confident that I will be able to get the most out of myself, Monica told Dehir.hu.
Monica is now a three-time Hungarian champion: in 2019 she won the first place in the category of professional adults at the Hungarian Polo Championship, in 2021 she won the category of advanced women over the age of 40 in the Hungarian Air Sports Cup, and in 2022 he was able to move to the top of the podium in his category.
– Now I fill more of my everyday life, I also go to competitions, and for six years I have been trying to pass on my knowledge and help everyone to achieve their goal in this sport.

He later continues his education after a short break and then sees him with steam power in preparation for the World Cup.
