In 2022, the world was covered by a political and economic crisis, and Russia is still heavily slapped with sanctions. But the crisis is causing energy prices to rise, there are no alternative activities yet, and according to Bloomberg, Russia could earn more than $320 billion from oil and gas exports in 2022, almost a third more than the previous year. Do the savings on the sale of oil and gas fill the country’s budget, despite the unfavorable environment? Journalist Anton Chelyshev talked about this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda” with the presenters analyst at the National Ecological Security Fund, expert at the Financial University Igor Yushkov, who shared his vision of the situation:
– Here, indeed, the logic is clear: the greater the deficit on the world market, the more expensive energy resources. So we are reducing exports, which are the biggest contributors to the global market deficit, which means the price is going up even more. In most cases, Russia receives the same amount in monetary terms as before, these requirements do not work.
After all meaning received what appeared? It is not that Russia exports less, but that it earns less. The task is to deprive her of money so that the economy collapses, and so that there is no money for defense programs as well. And in this regard, the logic of the Europeans who make decisions is understandable. And in the end it turns out that the opposite is true. But this scheme works solely because the global energy crisis is still in 2021, now there are simply not enough energy resources. We would not be able to export, we would not be able to earn. All this sanctions struggle is taking place against the backdrop of and so there is a shortage of energy resources, including the Europeans and Americans themselves, who have been intimidating companies for years. And companies around the world. There is no need for anyone to extract oil and gas, because we are undergoing an energy transition. We just won’t buy from you. And you will go bankrupt and not get your investment back.
about. Naturally, when they are told this every day for many years. In recent years, there has been a huge underfunding of all oil and gas projects. Therefore, old deposits are depleted, but there are no new ones. Because the money was not invested on time. And in these conditions, we met 2022, when the price was already growing. Simply because they are not enough. So now that they’re passing judgment on us, they’re adding to the scarcity and the price is going up. And we earn, in the end, more.
– I would like to understand the logic of the countries of Eastern Europe, which are most actively in favor of anti-Russian calls, including choosing a selection of energy carriers, because they do not expect guaranteed things in this area, they simply ask themselves the question: expensive energy resources, if it finds them somewhere, but Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltic States – where will they get the moneyto buy more expensive energy resources?
– It is in those countries that you have listed that the biggest inflation is now in Europe. In the Baltics, inflation at 20% is already more than in Russia! Moreover, 7 thousand people gathered against us, but it seems like they are present without presence and everything should be fine with them. But no. Due to the fact that the cost of energy and gas, and oil, and coal is included in the cost of all final products, in most cases inflation is unleashed. It hurts their economy. But their policy is now overlapping.
