The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the intention of the German business to return to Russia
German companies that have left the Russian market make it clear that they are ready to use the possibility of a return if the situation normalizes. This was stated on Saturday in an interview with Interfax by the director of the third European department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Oleg Tyapkin.
According to him, “many companies” of those that “were available to announce their departure from our country under pressure or because of the introduction into the country against us” are now “signaling” that they intend to “immediately return to the Russian market”. »immediately after <...> the political press will subside with them.”
Tyapkin also pointed out that Russia, for its part, sends them a response signal that it does not intend to close the doors to German business.
The diplomat also noted that German business, which “has been receiving significant benefits from working in Russia for decades”, as well as from cooperation with countries from the Russian Federation, “suffers big losses” due to “decisions made in the last months of stay in Berlin and the territories of the West generally”.
As the diplomat said, “we are talking about tens of billions of euros.”
As for the number of German companies that left Russia, Tyapkin notes that their exact number “will become known in the coming months,” but we are talking about “at least double-digit numbers.”
