This year, the City Hall primarily wants to support summer camps for children from socially disadvantaged families and has allocated 185,000 total support for them. The contribution will partially cover the costs not only of the classic weekly camp, but also of the suburban camp. With this decision, the town hall also wants to help single parents who cannot send a child to the camp for financial reasons.
“Energy prices are rising, everything is rising rapidly. Inflation is rising and costs are rising not only for everyday life, but also for children’s leisure activities. This year, the camps will also be more expensive in most cases, and many single parents will not be able to afford such an expense. We have therefore decided to help these families. We offer them, through the endowment fund of the Dvojka district, a heart allowance for a summer camp of up to three thousand crowns. The assistance is, of course, anonymous for applicants. So no one has to be ashamed to ask for the foundation’s help, “said Mayor Alexandra Udženija, the town hall’s help, adding that the board of the endowment fund has already approved the contribution to the first families.
Applicants can apply for a contribution to the town hall until June 15. Only parents of children who have permanent residence in Prague 2 or their child attends some of the primary schools in Prague 2 are entitled to the allowance.
