Charlene of Monaco positive for Covid, no worries” about her state of health
The Principality has announced that Princess Charlene of Monaco, who has just returned from a long convalescence, has tested positive for Covid.
Princess Charlene of Monaco has tested positive for Covid-19 but her state of health “does not inspire any concern”, the Principality announced in a press release on Saturday.
“Showing some symptoms, HSH Princess Charlene has been confirmed positive for a Covid-19 screening test,” said the prince’s palace.
“Compliant with the sanitary rules in force, Princess Charlene will observe a period of isolation of several days”, continued the palace, adding that “her state of health does not inspire any concern”.
“Long and hard way”
Returning to the Rock in March after a long absence for health problems, Princess Charlene said she was “more serene” but admitted, in an interview with the daily Nice-Matin on May 25, that her state of health was “still fragile “.
“I don’t want to go too fast. The path has been long, difficult and so painful. Today I feel more serene”, explained the princess.
Her husband Prince Albert II of Monaco, first infected with the coronavirus at the start of the epidemic in 2020, had again tested positive for Covid-19 last April.
No more mask
Since May 12, wearing a mask indoors is no longer compulsory in Monaco outside of health establishments, accommodation facilities for the elderly, public transport and taxis.
Since the start of the epidemic, more than 12,000 people have been affected by Covid-19 in this small principality of 40,000 inhabitants.
As of May 28, the incidence rate of the coronavirus there was 147 per 100,000.
