The aim of the TTK summer event is for high school students to get to know the research activities of the faculty as soon as possible, to get an insight into the everyday life of researchers and to gain first-hand experience of scientific work through their own project tasks.
– An important mission of the Faculty of Science and Technology is to show students the exciting world of science at an early age and to draw their attention to the career opportunities inherent in it. Our experience is that the sooner they get to know the work of natural science researchers, the more enthusiastic and purposeful they become in biology, the study of physics, geography, chemistry and mathematics, explained Professor Ferenc Kun. The dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology added that there are a number of returning participants to the Summer Camp who will continue their academic work after the camp, and many will return to the faculty as students after successful enrollment.
During the five-day camp, the students conducted their own research in the morning, and in the afternoon the six institutes of the faculty (Institute of Biology and Ecology, Institute of Physics, Institute of Earth Sciences, Institute of Chemistry, Institute of Mathematics) present their training and research offerings with thematic lectures. , quizzes and other colorful programs await high school students.
