Weekend closure D10 Prague – Turnov u Svijan

Sugar Mizzy May 27, 2022

This weekend, the D10 Prague – Turnov motorway will be demolished by an overpass at the 67th kilometer near Svijan in the Liberec Region. The works will require a two-way deadline.

The current bridge on road II / 279 between Svijany and Příšovice needs to be demolished. A new bridge is to be built in its place by the end of the year.

As of Monday, May 23, both lanes on the D10 motorway under the bridge are always narrowed in both directions.

Closed: From Saturday evening to Sunday morning

From Saturday, May 28, from 5:00 pm to Sunday, May 29, by 10:00 a.m., the D10 motorway will be completely closed at 67 kilometers, ie at the Svijany exit in both directions.

Detour routes

  • In the direction from Prague to Turnov drivers can easily avoid short closed sections. At exit 67, they will use the exit to Svijany and Příšovice, and then they will continue by driving back onto the motorway. The traffic on the south side of the exit will not affect the demolition.
  • Longer detour will pay for the direction from Turnov to Prague. It will be necessary to take exit 67 on the downhill road and immediately, in front of the Shell petrol station, before the garden center, turn right onto the local road in the direction of Pěnčín. The route will continue straight to road III / 2799 from Pěnčín in the direction of Svijanský Újezd, from where you will take road II / 279 back to exit 67, where it will be possible to drive back on the motorway in the direction of Prague.

Go with Radiožurnál

We will monitor the traffic situation in the Green Wave during the full closure and during the restrictions. Tune in to Radiožurnál, the only radio station in the Czech Republic with non-stop traffic information 24 hours a day.

We also welcome your observations directly from the roads. All the more valuable because traffic cameras are not available in the given motorway section. We will be happy to receive information about traffic on the motorway and on the detour route on the toll-free line of our control room 800 553 553 and pass it on to other drivers in the broadcast.
