Monaco Grand Prix – Provisional pole position for Lawson?
If the best time is achieved by a pilot of group A, all the pilots of this group will therefore start on the odd numbers of the grid according to their classification of the session (1st, 3rd, 5th etc…). For the even numbers of the grid, it will be according to the classification of the second group (2nd, 4th, 6th etc…).
First session:
The odd numbers started the qualifying ball. For this session, Felipe Drugovich set the fastest time before hitting the wall in the last corner and immobilizing his car on the starting straight.
Liam Lawson set the fastest time but under double yellow flags, the same for Ayumu Iwasa who set the second time ahead of Felipe Drugovich.
Second session:
The best time was achieved by Théo Pourchaire in 1.21.535. Vips set the second fastest time in this group.
Théo Pourchaire will therefore be on the front line!
Liam Lawson takes pole position for the moment with Théo Pourchaire second.
Ayumu Iwasa third also set a time under yellow flags…
If Lawson and Iwasa’s lap times are canceled, pole position may go to Felipe Drugovich…
To be continued…
