Thomas Pesquet at the Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse, early June
Thomas Pesquet is back in Toulouse. The ESA astronaut will be at the Cité de l’espace on Friday June 3, 2022 to share the highlights of his last mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
The meeting is organized by La Cité de l’Espace, the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Center for Space Studies (CNES) and Toulouse Métropole. It will run from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.around several themes: How do we live in weightlessness? What is the daily life of the International Space Station (ISS)? What does Earth look like from space? Thomas Pesquet will also answer questions from the public.
As part of his Alpha mission, which lasted six months within the ISS, Thomas Pesquet took part in more than 200 space research activities. Twelve experiments were developed on behalf of ESA, monitored by CNES, and from its center dedicated to human spaceflight, CADMOS in Toulouse.
For Thomas Pesquet, it is also a very symbolic return to the pink city. The astronaut completed his engineering studies at ISAE-Supaéro.
On Friday 3 June, the Cité de l’Espace will be accessible to the general public only on compulsory registration, subject to availability.
