Cologne: Scala work piece by Trude Herr “Divorce op Kölsch” | Regional
Cologne – Do you have a hubäät about a fistern roll? When corsetry businesswoman Katharina Engels hires a private detective, her shop “Wohlform” loses control and her employee Anneliese finds herself in a crisis.
Is a “divorce op Kölsch” imminent? The famous comedy of the same name by Trude Herr (63†) returns to the stage in three months.
But the Scala Theater goes one better in honor of Cologne’s veteran: “We bring the play from 1973 into our time and make it a gimmick,” says theater director Ralf Borgatz. This means? Upbeat music, sparkling eroticism, hilarious Cologne sayings and of course a happy ending in love.
Comedy becomes Gedönsical
The Cologne comedy theater will thus erect a monument to the famous Cologne original. The “Divorce op Kölsch” celebrated its premiere almost half a century ago in Cologne’s Millowitsch Theater. It comes from the pen of Trude Herr, who wrote the motley story to her heart and which was even recorded on television.
Now the “divorce” is new too. The premiere will take place on September 1st, advance sales are running.
The Scala Theater has further reduced the number of spectator seats from 240 to 150, thus offering corona distances and forgoing income. As a result, the entrance fees were increased slightly (33 to 55 euros). A glass of Kölsch remains unchanged at 2 euros.
