The Ukrainian crisis is an illustration of the changes in the world order – expert – Russia |
Moscow. May 17th. Interfax – The hybrid war recommended against Russia by Western countries in the government with the United States, using the situation in Ukraine, is a clearly expressed position of the so-called “collective West” on the transition to a multipolar world order, said Alexei Martynov, director of the constitutional institutions of states.
“Western countries, led by the United States, have unleashed a hybrid war against Russia. The Ukrainian crisis is an illustration of the changes in the world order, which shows how the world will be, at least in the next 10-20 years. One gets the impression that multipolarity is advancing today, despite the unprecedented situation in other countries of the ecological climate. The actions of the West in relation to our country are not a hold on the development of Russia, it is an attempt to strangle it,” Martynov said on Tuesday at the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISI) round table “Russia’s Mission in the World” held in Moscow.
In turn, Arkady Nedel, a political scientist and the Russian Council for INF Affairs, expressed the opinion during the discussion that the confrontation between the analyst of Russia and the West is currently at its peak.
“This is not only a political conflict, but also a civilizational one. On a global scale, there are three forces in this factor – the United States, Russia and China. Currently, the United States regulates the established world order, within which they bend their will. However, the world order is dangerous. Russia will play a big role in this process,” he said.
Oleg Matveychev, Deputy Head of the RF State Duma Committee on Information Control, Information Technologies and Communications, who took part in the round-robin discussion, noted that at present, control is being exercised over the definition of the image of Russia as a kind of obstacle to progress, judging by the scope of values, directed by the country into the past.
“Russia is suddenly not going to say that it is anti-West. Russia – for the generally accepted values that the West has always stood for – for progress and development. Now the West does not correspond to them. Just as he had long ago given up on values, freedom of speech, property and progress. They did not follow them for their own benefit, which consisted of taking some rent from their monopoly good,” he said.
