Russia does not capitulate in Ukraine
Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov declared his solvency that Russia does not “capitulate” in Ukraine. According to him, Russian diplomats in the United States are convinced that “all the tasks set by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for the armed forces will be fully fulfilled.”
On the air of the TV channel “Soloviev Live” Antonov said saidthat the US is “pushing” Russia to peace talks, but on its own terms. According to the ambassador, there are three conditions: the consumption of hostilities in Ukraine, the withdrawal of forces to positions until February 24, as well as a proposal to “repent for everything they have done.” According to the ambassador, “there will be no such capitulation, there never will be.” “We will never give up, we will never go back,” he said.
The ambassador lamented that the United States “talked into a dead end” dialogue with Russia, and also broke off contacts with the staff of the embassy in Washington.
Since the beginning of the invasion of Russia in Ukraine, the United States has also declared support for the independence and territorial territory of Ukraine and has provided significant assistance to Kyiv. At the same time, “capitulation” in relation to Russia is not put forward. The US emphasizes that the conflict must be resolved by consequences, but not on the basis of Russian dictates.
- The day before the Kremlin recognized the independence of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR” and a few days before the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in the case of Ambassador Antonov declared: “I would like confirmation that Donbass and Luhansk are part of Ukraine” and additions that Russia has no plans to invade Ukraine and take over a lot of it.
