After the Hungarian Cup, the championship trophy also went to Debrecen
Debrecen – DEAC defeated Budaörs with a play of joy, making it the best of women’s futures NB I again this year.
The women’s footballers of DEAC won the Hungarian Cup in Kecskemét last week, and on Sunday they were able to win a gold medal in NB I, for which the Budaörs had to be beaten in DESOK.
It was a full house, so the teams could be in a great mood.
The people of Debrecen started well, as in the 3rd minute Katalin Üveges took the lead with a long shot. After that, the guests also had promising opportunities, but neither Gabriella Kiss nor Rebecca Fábián could afford it. In the 6th minute, DEAC doubled its advantage: Anikó Nagy’s pass was sold by Horváth. Aware of its disadvantage, Budaörs tried to put more pressure, but the defense of the Hungarians was on solid feet. Then, before the break, Lívia Pócsik was in danger, and not long after, Glass’s distant stroke was less alarming, but the result did not change.
At the beginning of the second half, DEAC took another step towards the throne, as Horváth performed a nice solo, and finally his shot bounced off the left goal line beyond the goal line. Despite the confident advantage, the university guard did not lean back, and the scissors opened up even more. Flóra Gajzágó came in from a free kick, Lívia Pócsik could have celebrated in the 36th minute, as Horváth rattled the net after a great pass. The final result was set by Glass in the 40th minute.
The students of Quirikó Vivien also had a great time this season, so it was no coincidence that they were celebrated by enthusiastic fans.
