Toulouse. The World of Dinosaurs exhibition comes to the MEETT
The World of Dinosaurs exhibition takes over the MEETT premises in Toulouse. It will present the Mesozoic giants from Saturday May 14 to Sunday May 15, 2022.
Dinosaurs are invading the Beauzelle exhibition center! Throughout the weekend, the World of Dinosaurs exhibition takes place at the MEETT. The opportunity for young and old to learn more about these creatures that disappeared millions of years ago.
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May, the public will be able to discover the exhibition on the theme of the giants of the Mesozoic. Meet in Hall 2 of the MEEET from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The World of Dinosaurs from the Triassic to the Late Cretaceous
The world of dinosaurs is touring France to show the most curious this world which only exists in books. The Mesozoic era was a fearsome time, as the organizers of the exhibition explain in a press release: “the Earth was teeming with fearsome predators and herbivores”. A total of 45 giant dinosaurs from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods take place in the exhibition center.
“It is an exhibition that surprises with its realism, because 29 of the specimens are animated and react with movements and sounds to the passage of visitors, which makes it more interactive offering a moment of pleasure for the whole family”, say the exhibition organizers. Visitors venture along as the dinosaurs evolved. The evolution goes until their extinction due to a probable impact of a large asteroid on Earth, about 65 million years ago.
“Living” Dinosaurs
The public will be able to discover many “living” specimens throughout their visit. In particular, he may see a Tyrannosaurus 5m high and 13m long. The Spinosaurus, the Pachyrhinosaurus, the Iguanodon or even the giant of the air, the Quetzalcoatlus, thus present an overview of the living conditions, shapes and sizes of a species long extinct.
Didactic panels will guide visitors. There are some in front of each dinosaur on display and it provides information on its size, its era, its diet… “Visitors will finally know that the estimated 14m long Apatosaurus was a fan of foliage while the 10m long Deinosuchus and ancestor of the crocodile was a real carnivore, just like Baryonyx”, tell the world organizers Dinosaurs.
The exhibition also reserves a guest of size: “The madness of man has no limit, the world of dinosaurs presents the Indominus Rex. This hybrid created by mixing genes from several species of dinosaurs.
The prices of the visit are 10 euros and free for children under 3 years old. No reservation, tickets on sale only on site at the exhibition counters.
