Renovation of the viaduct of the Poniatowski Bridge. Three offers have been received
The offers were sent by the consortium of Warszawskie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Mostowych i Elektrownia Wiatrowa EOL (PLN 108 million 593 thousand gross) and PBW Inżynierii i Dromosttoru Polska (PLN 108 million 856 thousand gross), as well as the company Intop Warszawa (PLN 95 million 770 thousand gross) . The analysis of the situation has already begun – let us hope for the award of the tender. The selection of the contractor was followed by an obligation to perform. The company we entrusted with the task to be able to stop time until the end of 2024.
Does the renovation also make the transition
The Poniatowski Viaduct is undergoing a general renovation for almost all of Warsaw, i.e. from the crossing at the station to ul. Rowing. The works cover the entire structure of the viaduct, they are built on 87 pillars and abutments erected on piles. There were further renovated concrete and domestic elements, as well as retaining walls, moreover, they took on improvement of anti-corrosion elements of structural elements.
We also planned the renovation of the underground at Al. Jerozolimskie on the eastern side of the bridge, which i.a. connects two tram stops. The passage was built in 1986-1989 and since its commissioning it has only gained the burden of restoration work. Now the first such big new one will be made. Thanks to it, it will not only become safer under an improved condition, but also gain aesthetics. It will be more pleasant for pedestrians to move from one side of the Avenue to and at stops.
The renovation will be included in the afforestation issued by the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Building Supervision Inspector. The viaduct will not only stay, but also adequately enough to protect the residents for several dozen years.
Importantly, the renovation will not include roadways or lines of installations. It will not happen with changes in the organization of traffic on the crossing itself – it concerns the structure of the structure on which the flyover is based.
Illumination and speed cameras
The renovation of the viaduct will be our additional activity throughout the entire facility. At the turn of 2019 and 2020, we renovated the brick viaduct, meeting on the northern side of Al. Jerozolimskie with Wisłostrada. Including We forged old joints and powerful elements that we developed, excavated and repaired the solutions, we also renovated damaged fragments of balustrades. In order to show the exhibits, to expose the texture of the activities and activities of the pavement, in 2021 we installed the illumination of the viaduct.
In 2021, we installed six speed cameras on the Poniatowski Bridge. The devices were placed near towers and tram stops – three on both sides of the crossing. We started working late, and on September 29 we returned the same measurements as three years earlier to see how they had affected drivers. The effect has been achieved. Of the 41,754 drivers who drove through the majority during the measurement day (20,744 towards the center, 21 towards Prague), the speed “from the control” was less than 11,000, i.e. approx. 27 percent. Wed In 2018, of the 47,526 cars that drove through the crossing during the day, only 7,545 were running as intended. The rest – as many as 39,981 drivers, or 84 percent. – was going faster than 50 km / h.
