The students of Debrecen finished second in the local professional competition
Debrecen – The team of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Debrecen finished second in the online II. Antal Ács Case Study Solving Competition organized by the Institute of Management and Organizational Sciences of DE GTK.
Students representing six Hungarian higher education institutions applied for the competition, named after the former professor of the Debrecen Institute.

Károly Pető, the deputy general rector of DE and the dean of GTK, greeted the competitors on behalf of the faculty. As he said, the faculty has a significant tradition of competitions of this nature.
– We consider it important that teams report on the professional knowledge related to a given case study competition. Namely, the Ács Antal Case Study solving competition concerns the areas of management, management, organizational development, and marketing. There is always some real professional background in the cultivation of the surrounding field of science, and the competitive tasks that young people have to solve for this are prepared for this – Károly Pető explained.
The four-member teams had to solve the management and organizational development tasks related to the local transport company, DKV, in ten hours and then present them to the jury.
The company’s case study put two areas in focus. Tasks for the overall development of the employer brand include proposals to renew and unify the organization’s image, develop ideas for a new slogan and new logo, and develop an employer brand strategy and action plan. While the main tasks related to the introduction of micromobility (as a brand complement) are as important as the installation of new means of transport for DKV Zrt. brand or the development of a communication action plan.
Public transport, HR and innovation are intertwined in this year’s competition
– emphasized Krisztina Dajnoki, director of the Institute of Management and Organizational Sciences, Faculty of Economics, University of Debrecen.
– The students of DKV Zrt. Were given an exciting and challenging task in the case study competition. with the participation of. The special feature of the Debrec case competitions is the “Meet the boss” section, when they could ask their company to solve the task, that the members of the other teams could hear the answers, so they had to be tactful so as not to give each other ideas, Krisztina Dajnoki explained.
The “DEconomy Consultancy” team of the University of Debrecen took second place in the competition. The members of the team are: Flóra Bánszki (BSc 2nd year in Management and Management), Mónika Henrietta Boros (1st year in MSc in Marketing), Lejla Pelyák (MSc 1st year in Management), Tamara Dóra Tarnóczi (BSc in International Management). )). The 1st place went to the Codex team of the Corvinus University of Budapest, which defended its title.
