With heart, Lyon survive against Glasgow
The French clubs continue their beautiful European weekend. After Toulouse and La Rochelle in the Champions Cup, Lyon will be there for the last four of the Challenge Cup. Pierre Mignoni’s players were put in difficulty by the Glasgow Warriors but were able to respond. Léo Berdeu quickly started the match with a defeat in the 2nd minute but Josh McKay very quickly scored the first game of the match for the Scots. The scorers were then in the spotlight with a success for Léo Berdeu against two for Ross Thompson. Four minutes from the break, Baptiste Couilloud played the defense of Glasgow on a quickly played candidacy to put the LOU up to par. However, Cole Forbes put the Scots in the lead at the break with a corner try on the final action.

Lyon finished with a bang
The Rhodaniens’ situation was not simpler when, ten minutes after the break, they conceded a consecutive suppression try on a carried ball, giving Glasgow a fourteen-point lead. Coming to the side, Léo Berdeu received a yellow card. However, LOU only spent two minutes shorthanded, with Jamie Bhatti also taken off by the referee for an anti-play foul. Romain Taofifenua then sounded the revolt for Lyon with a try. The second line was imitated by Davit Niniashvili seven minutes later but Berdeu missed the conversion that would have allowed LOU to equalise. The Lyon striker, however, recovered eight minutes from time to put his team in front. An ascendant reinforced by the double of Davit Niniashvili in the last minutes. Lyon won after a good comeback (35-27) and will receive Wasps next weekend in the semi-finals.
