The appointments with the SJU Stage are back: the students of Siena Jazz meet Demian Cabaud
Students of the Sienese Academy, enrolled in first level academic courses, will be able to participate in the workshop organized in the form of a music research laboratory and on the evening of 10 May on the stage of the UniStraSi auditorium, in via dei Pispini, 1 in Siena, at 9.30 pm, Cabaud and the students of Siena Jazz will present to the public the fruit of the work done in the previous days, confirming the importance and centrality of the meeting and comparison in artistic creation.
Admission is by reservation only to students, teachers and staff of the Sienese universities (contact the Siena Jazz offices).
After the masterclasses already carried out by Philip Dizack and Yonathan Avishai, this is the program of the SJU Stage appointments:
– from Sunday 8 to Tuesday 10 May the double bass player Demian Cabaud leads the masterclass
– from Sunday 29th to Tuesday 31st May the students will meet the singer David Linx
– from Sunday 12 to Tuesday 14 June it will be the turn of the SJU stage led by trumpeter Ralph Alessi.
Short biography of Demian Cabaud
Demian Cabaud was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. At the age of 11 he discovered a passion for music and studied double bass with Hernan Merlo, Miguel Angel Villarroel and Alejandro Erlich Oliva. In 2001 he moved to Boston on a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, where he graduated in May 2003. In Boston he had the opportunity to learn from the great masters and started performing with various musicians. talented. He now lives in Porto with his family and teaches double bass at the Porto Conservatory and Siena Jazz in second level courses.
