Two T3 trams and six 14Tr trolleybuses will leave Brno as a gift to Kharkov, Ukraine. Alexei Jurievič Palant, a representative of the Kharkov self-government, symbolically took over some of them on Monday in Comenius Square. Preparing for transport to Ukraine will take only a few days.

“Kharkov, which is our partner city and is badly damaged by the war, urgently needs to restore its infrastructure and public services,” said Brno Mayor Markéta Vaňková.
According to the general director of the Brno transport company Miloš Havránek, these are vehicles that are still in operation in Brno. “But we are able to miss them without affecting the quality of services. It goes through the Regular Service, so even though I come from the eighties and nineties of the last century, thanks to their good condition, they can still serve for many years, “he added.

The transport company Gepard Express transports to Kharkov, which transported material aid to Brno for Ukraine. Transportation is provided within a week.
“We will go again to the city of Most, which lies twelve kilometers from the Polish border and about sixty kilometers from Lviv. Transhipment to wide gauge wagons is produced here. Trams must be taken to the part where their gauge will be changed so that they can be added to Kharkov, trolleybuses can theoretically leave immediately, “said the head of the Cheetah Express company Albert Fikáček.
The donation of trams and trolleybuses has yet to be approved by the board of directors of the Brno transport company.
