May 1, Serenissima: “In San Marino we also start talking about reducing working hours”
In many countries they have already taken concrete steps towards reduction by introducing 100% demand week of 4 days. In our Republic there is still no talk of it: it takes courage and making targeted choices.
Workers’ day was celebrated yesterday. Many initiatives in the San Marino area by the CSU unions at Parco Ausa. It is normal that in San Marino as in many other states the world of work is changing and the Republic will also have to keep up with the times. If the industrial contract was the first national collective agreement to be revised in mejus for workers in the economic sphere with a review of the salary tables above all, on the other hand more could be done and more needs to be done under the aspect of working hours. We can “begin to think about forms of reduction of working hours” said the Minister of Labor Andrea Orlando speaking at the national congress of the FIM, the metalworkers’ federation.
