INFO THE DEPECHE. North of Toulouse, three men break into a pensioner’s house and hold him for several hours
Three men, aged 22, 25 and 31, are suspected of having kidnapped a pensioner this Tuesday, April 26 in Gratentour, north of Toulouse. They were put to flight by an insomniac neighbor.
It’s 1 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Three men knock on the door of a pensioner’s house in Gratentour, north of Toulouse. They call for help, pretending to need to call the emergency room. Suddenly aroused from his sleep, the septuagenarian seems disturbed. In confusion, he opens the door for these intruders. And the trap closes.
One of the three individuals hits him and takes him upstairs. Then tie it to a chair with a cable. Armed with a knife, he orders her to indicate the place where he hides his savings. But the old man does not cooperate. This violent closed session lasts several tens of minutes, until the intervention of a neighbor.
This insomniac has noticed a certain agitation in the pensioner and decides to visit him, as a precaution. He quickly comes face to face with the attackers.
Visibly surprised, the criminals panicked. They jostle him in turn and smoke the escape precipitately. Their loot is meager. They would have simply stolen around fifty euros and two chainsaws…
The son of his former neighbor
Following this assault, the victim and his neighbor filed a complaint. The prosecution then designated the investigations to the soldiers of the research brigade of the Toulouse-Saint-Michel gendarmerie company.
Very quickly, the doubts of the gendarmes focused on three people aged 22, 25 and 31 years old. Among which is the son of the former neighbor of the victim. After pointing out enough evidence, law enforcement apprehended them on Thursday, two days after the incident. And during their hearings, two of the three respondents admitted the facts. The third denies everything.
This Friday, the trio was referred to the Toulouse prosecutor’s office. These men were to be tried in immediate comparison on Monday, in the criminal court.
