Nearly a hundred aftershocks have been spotted since the Bosnian earthquake in Friday
Belgrade – About ninety aftershocks have been spotted in Bosnia and Herzegovina since last Friday’s earthquake, and the earthquake was also shaking in northern Macedonia on Monday night.
A 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook Bosnia and Herzegovina late Friday night, killing several people and injuring several others. Since then, several minor quakes have been spotted, such as an earthquake of 2.8 on Monday.
According to a report by the Skopje news portal Vesti.mk, northern Macedonia was shaken on Monday by an earthquake of 4.2 and later by 3.6.
Earthquakes are common in the Balkans. A magnitude 6.4 earthquake shook central Croatia in December 2020, killing seven people and damaging hundreds of houses.
There was also serious damage in March 2020 to a 5.3 magnitude earthquake in Zagreb. And in Albania, more than fifty people died in November 2019 from a 6.4 magnitude earthquake.
