production of cars with automatic transmission under load
Russia will not be able to produce cars with automatic transmissions in the near future
Editorial
Their machines are not taken into account, and importing imported automatic transmissions into Russia is currently problematic, both in terms of logistics and sanctions. First of all, AvtoVAZ was hit – dealers already supply cars with the Jatco JF015e CVT, and new orders for such versions are temporarily not accepted. UAZ Patriot may also lose the version with the usual Punch Powerglide 6L50 transmission, which is brought to us from France.
It is curious that even the robotic transmission Lada AMT (VAZ-2182) of domestic production, equipped with Lada Granta, Vesta and Xray, was also under attack. Despite the fact that the box itself is completely unified with the 100% VAZ manual gearbox included in Russia, the forced drive sensors for it are by the German company ZF and currently turn off the sensor components.
At the same time, Russia has a spare automatic transmission, created by KATE back in 2006. This is a 7-speed KATE FT703 unit, which often meets with the British company Ricardo, and then went through fine-tuning with the participation of the Austrians from AVL. On the manufacturer’s website statedthat this automatic transmission was developed for passenger cars of the B and C-class with front-wheel drive, a transverse engine with power up to 126 hp. and torque up to 200 Nm – that is, it suits both Largus, Grant and Vesta.
But there is one problem – the price. With the current production volumes of AvtoVAZ, such transmissions are extremely high, which are produced in millions of copies. The way out is to look for new partners who will equip their cars with automatic transmissions (in KATE, that they are interested in the Chinese), or choose food products that compensate for consumption and produce domestic automatic transmissions cheaper.
