Tula environmentalist Baranov said that Russia will switch to separate waste collection faster than Europe
The Tula region and 84 other regions of the Russian Federation have begun a phased transition to the separate collection of complex municipal waste. The region must reorganize the collection and recycling of recyclables by 2026. Correspondents of the Tula News Service found Vadim Baranov, an ecologist and chairman of the Ecological Protection trooo.
In the Tula region, about five million cubic meters of garbage are generated annually. According to the expert, in four years 100% of the generated waste is recycled.
“The importance of recycling is very high. In 2022, it is planned to build a large waste sorting complex in Uzlovaya – such capacities will be enough to process and sort waste. This is an increase in the share of recycled raw materials, because now the part of the waste suitable for processing simply deteriorates, ”said Baranov.
low prices switched to separate waste collection for about 30 years, the Tula environmentalist is sure that in Russia this process will be faster.
“Our region has really begun to pay a lot of attention to this topic: about 500 waste sorting bins have been purchased and their installation has begun. Spread of environmentally friendly culture among the population. We also need to pay more attention to environmental education of people,” the specialist noted.
Currently, in the Tula region, a waste sorting complex has already been discovered in Dubna, similar to the one recently put into operation near Tula.
Earlier, on the website of the Tula news service, it became known how garbage collection sites for recycling appear, and where in Tula it is already possible to recycle garbage.
