The American airline Air Lease with an application for remaining in Russia after the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions on the basis of the likelihood of a possible return of aircraft. This became known on Saturday, April 23.
According to Reuters, we are talking about 27 liners leased to Russia. Most of them (21 vessels) are responsible for managing the fleet regulator.
“It is unlikely that the company will return aircraft that were not returned [ранее] and which were shown in Russia,” the company said in a statement.
Air Lease is reportedly not expecting significant costs and is considering insurance offers to recover losses. At this moment of waiting time, leasing companies are seeking to receive from the Russian Federation more than 400 approximations for about 10 billion US dollars.
