we put the cover back in Lyon
GOOD is back. The event dedicated to sustainable food, created at the initiative of Suez and co-organized with the Métropole de Lyon and Progress , will take place on November 19 in the premises of the Hôtel de la Métropole in Lyon-Part-Dieu. An event expected after the success of the first edition. The members of the program committee concocted lively, didactic animations intended for all audiences. Round tables, exhibitions and workshops will be offered throughout the day with passionate professionals to answer the many questions of consumers.
With Christian Têtedoie as godfather
The detailed menu will be unveiled in September. But we can already announce that the starred chef Christian Têtedoie, sponsor of the 2021 edition, will be the sponsor of the second edition. From short circuits to food insecurity and health, the themes discussed will be numerous. With one objective: to find and share sustainable solutions to support the transition to diets richer in plants, as recommended by the IPCC in its latest report.
“An apple rather than an industrial compote”
The urgency of saving the planet while protecting its health goes through our plates in particular. “We must relearn how to eat, favor quality over quantity” had recommended Dr Béatrice Fervers, head of the cancer prevention and environment department of the Léon Bérard Center in Lyon, during the first edition of GOOD, “an apple rather than a compote industrial, good meat rather than ultra-processed foods”.
But it is clear that it is not always easy to change your habits, to stock up without spending more as to cook in a more balanced way. The meeting on November 19 will be an opportunity to show that this is possible based on testimonials and advice from local actors in sustainable food.
