Germany provides 33.7 million euros in technical and financial assistance to Moldova
The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany will provide the Government of the Republic of Moldova with non-reimbursable technical and financial assistance, totaling 33.7 million euros. The Chisinau executive voted to start negotiations and approve the signing of two agreements in this regard.
Thus, 23 million euros would be offered for the implementation of three ongoing projects: “Support for social and communal infrastructure III”, “Drinking water supply and sewerage system, Moldova Center, VPT, phase 3” and “Drinking water supply and sewerage system, Moldova Centru, VPT, phase 3, support measures”. Following the implementation of the projects, the drinking water supply and sewerage system will be expanded, being connected to several localities at the main aqueduct Chisinau-Calarasi-Straseni.
At the same time, the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany will provide technical assistance, amounting to a total of 10.7 million euros. The assistance will cover two projects – 2.5 million euros for “Political Counseling of the Republic of Moldova” and 8.2 million euros for “Strong enterprises and municipalities for the Republic of Moldova”.
The deadline for capitalization of all resources is November 25, 2026.
