What does the Central Bohemian Region look like? In fact, in the style of each dog a different village
Benešov, Příbram and Kutnohorsko have the most villages in the region. The number of municipalities in the Central Bohemian Region is already unique nationwide: 1144. They also include 2807 settlements. This is shown by the reports that the Czech Statistical Office recently published in the statistical bulletin.

If 1.39 million people lived in the Central Bohemian Region at the end of last year, relatively significant differences can be found between the individual regions. For example, the most populous district of Prague-East (with 188,000 inhabitants) would almost “fit” the inhabitants of the two districts of Beroun (approximately 97,000). Or to Prague-west (151 thousand) two Kutnohorska (almost 76 thousand). Eight of the twelve Central Bohemian districts report over one hundred thousand inhabitants, while the Benešov region with 99,000 found itself practically on the border. Rakovnicko has long remained the least populous in the region (currently with less than 55,000 heads); the mentioned districts of Kutná Hora and Beroun follow.

However, the development of the population can change quickly – and not only in view of the current mass arrival of war refugees from Ukraine, most of whom now have no idea how long they will stay with us. From a long-term perspective, housing construction can have a more significant effect on the population. It developed most in the already most populous district of Prague-East, where 1,007 flats were completed – and 1,147 more were started. The districts of Prague-West with 1,008 completed flats (and 714 started ones) or Kladno stand out more significantly from the statistical comparison – there are 1,426 started flats there (553 were completed). In most other districts, these figures are in the hundreds. An exception is Rakovnicko, where completed tens have reached only tens: 87; of these, too, there was clearly one in the county-wide comparison (146).
Rakovnicko is not the smallest district in the region. It has 896 square kilometers, while Prague-West only 580. The districts of Mělník (701 square kilometers), Beroun (704), Kladno (720), Kolín (748), Praha-východ (755) and Nymburk (846) are even smaller. On the contrary, the largest, with an area of over thousands of square kilometers, are Příbram (1563), Benešovsko (1457) and Mladoboleslavsko (1023).
The municipality in the district is from 69 to 120
There is no closer general connection between the area or population of individual districts and the number of their municipalities or cities in Central Bohemia. It is true that the individual regions are completely different from this point of view – even within smaller territorial units than the district. Kladno is characterized by exactly one hundred municipalities and towns. The districts of Mladá Boleslav and Příbram (both 120), Benešov (114) and Praha-východ (110) jumped over this imaginary border. Rakovnicko, which is often the king of the tail of many regional statistics, in this case “keeps up” with the peloton package in the form of a value of around eighty. The districts of Mělník (69) and Praha-západ (79) are characterized by the fact that mayors live there. From this point of view, Rakovnicko (83), Berounsko (85), Nymbursko (86) and Kutnohorsko (88) are relatively comparable.
