Toulouse: a professor from Toulouse-1 Capitole university targeted by a death threat and a homophobic message
This Friday, the president of Toulouse-1 Capitole University expressed his incomprehension. One of his teachers claims to have been targeted by homophobic and anti-Semitic messages. And even being threatened with death. An investigation is opened.
A professor from the Toulouse-1 Capitole university has reportedly received death threats. This Thursday, April 14, Professor Matthieu Touzeil-Divina and the secretary of the Maurice Hauriou Institute found that the door to the teacher’s office had been forced open. “A message of hatred, homophobic, anti-Semitic and threatening death had been deposited there”, specifies the president of the university, Hugues Kenfack, in a letter sent to the university community.
“I can only strongly condemn this cowardly and anonymous act, which here more than elsewhere must not occur. In this ordeal, the university gives our colleague full support”, continues the dean of the faculty.
A complaint would have been lodged at the central police station. The prosecution should logically open an investigation to determine the circumstances of this mysterious intrusion. No trace of break-in was found on the spot.
“I call on the whole community to condemn this type of act, and to do everything possible to ensure that it does not happen again,” concluded Hugues Kenfack.
