The boys chased the girls with a pom-pom. The open-air museum in Strážnice belonged to Easter
On the weekend of April 9 and 10, the traditional and popular event, which was long awaited by folklore lovers and gourmets alike, was revealed in the Strážnice Open-Air Museum. “Fašanky, fašanky, Easter is coming” offered a demonstration of folk traditions and a competition for the best Slovak smoked flank. The program introduced the customs from Slovácko from Fašanka to Easter, such as carrying out death, wearing a fly, knitting Easter eggs, painting Easter eggs, grunting, whipped cream and much more. We thank Mrs. Hana Jechová and Mrs. Rostislav Svobodová for their contribution.
