Only 6/16 Sweden Major teams are currently in qualifying places for Charlotte Major – SiegeGG
Currently, only six teams that participated in the Six Sweden Major in November are in a top four position in their region required to qualify for the upcoming Six Charlotte Major in May – Rogue, Looking For Org, DarkZero, Oxygen Esports, DAMWON Gaming and FaZe.
North America
OxG and DZ were the second and fourth placed teams during Stage 3 last year and are currently in first and fourth place at the time of writing.
Their two counterparts in Sweden, SSG and Soniqs, have had a weak stage so far (in dramatically different degrees) and settle in fifth and ninth place respectively. SSG still has Parabellum, Soniqs and DarkZero to play, making this week’s games absolute must-wins, while Soniqs is no miracle already locked out of the Major Qualifiers.
TSM, the world champions in Rainbow Six, missed Sweden Majoren and will currently also miss this stage. Fortunately for them, their schedule will be much easier with games against XSET, Soniqs and Parabellum not yet coming, but it’s probably already too late.
Europe
Away in Europe, the two consistent teams are the third and fourth place of the last stage, Rogue and the ex-Vitality line-up now known as LFO.
This is mainly due to the fact that the Team Empire list was released without ceremonies between the stages while BDS is in fifth place, one point less than G2 in fourth. These two lists are also set to play against each other on the last day of play of the EUL season, which may be to determine a Six Major place.
The whole table can and will change constantly, as the third to sixth are separated by only two points while Secret in eighth place is only three from G2 in fourth place.
Latin America
The four Brazilian teams that participated in Six Sweden Major – FaZe, FURIA, one and NiP – are currently in fourth, sixth, ninth and 10th place respectively. This is like that while the Team one organization is second, this is with a drastically changed lineup with the core of the old oNe team now at 00 Nation.
Next to FaZe in the top four is Liquid while MIBR is tied on points with FaZe in fifth place. Both of these teams missed Sweden, which means that they will be keen to take the last two Copa Elite Six places together with w7m and one.
FURIA is meanwhile only one point from FaZe while NiP is locked out of a CES appearance last. Finally, 00N in ninth place has a small shot at a top four ranking with matches against Liquid and MIBR not yet coming.
Asia Pacific
Finally, for APAC, although the playoffs may create some discrepancies to this, I have looked at the two best teams in APAC North and APAC South with both leagues having only one game day left.
From the south, they sent Invictus Gaming and Chiefs to Sweden. Leaving aside the fact that iG changed the majority of their roster between stages, it is currently Dire Wolves and Elevate who sit in the top two positions while the Chiefs are third and Invictus missed the playoffs in fifth.
At the same time, APAC North sent DAMWON and SANDBOX to Sweden with these teams right now in first and fourth place. In second place comes a surprising contribution, Talon Esports, while Japan’s top representative, CYCLOPS, is in third place.
Six invitation teams
If you look at the 20 Six Invitational representatives instead, the number of teams currently set to make global appearances back-to-back is seven; Elevate, Liquid and the six teams listed above excluding LFO.
Finally, there are currently two brand new lists formed since the Six Invitational that will feature Six Charlotte Major, XSET and one.
