From Bavaria to Siena to help Ukrainian refugees: in the city the music of solidarity of 50 young Germans
From Bavaria to Siena to help Sea Watch in the Mediterranean and Arrival Aid, a German association that helps Ukrainian refugees to integrate in Germany. The project is the one organized by about fifty young people from Weilheim, a city close to Munich.
I arrived in Tuscany last Saturday. A few days ago you saw them playing in Diacceto and this morning instead they performed in via di Città, in front of the Chigiana. But the young people played in all the places of the Region, as evidenced by their social channels. And in fact there are videos of their performances both in Empoli and in Pistoia. “Now we are going to Volterra – says Hannes, one of the members of the group -. We arrived a week ago. In these days we have formed 5 bands and we had 3 days to train ourselves to play the songs and learn about musical instruments with which we had never performed. Last Wednesday we started our tour ”.
“None of us are professional musicians, but we do it for charity. And every money spent on us is spent on a good cause, ”he explains. The one in the cradle of the Etruscans will be the last day of the boys in Italy. “Tonight all 5 bands will organize a big closing concert and perform one after the other.”
