Frankfurt: Easter greetings from the toilet bowl? Community puzzled over video by Moses Pelham
Moses Pelham sings his Easter version of “Last Christmas” and the Instagram community wonders: Where did the rap veteran actually record the video?
Frankfurt am Main – With a short clip that inspires frankfurters rap veteran Moses Pelham (51) just his Instagram community – and also raises a very specific question.
“We need an Easter hit!” the rapper and producer wrote about the reel. Of course he’s right about that. Because while you can’t save yourself from the countless Christmas songs in Advent and around the holidays, dying sounds in an endless loop from every imaginable box, it looks completely different at Easter. Easter songs? There isn’t.
That’s why Moses simply takes what is probably the most played of all Christmas hits in the video and gives it an Easter update while singing. And so “Last Christmas” becomes “Last Easter” and the line “Last Christmas, I got you my heart (Last Christmas I gave you my heart)” corresponding to “Last Easter, I got you my egg ( Last Easter I gave you my (Easter) egg)”.
“By the way, Egg rhymes much better than Heart,” says Moses, who is very satisfied with his creation.
Because of the protest of the “last generation”: a cyclist falls and has to go to the clinic
“By the way, did you know that the song was actually supposed to be called ‘Last Eastern’…?” A self-proclaimed smartass picks up on the well-known rumor that George Michael († 53) originally wanted his song “Last Easter”.
At the suggestion of his record company to release a Christmas song for money reasons, George simply adapted the finished song briefly and the classic of his and Andrew Ridgeley’s (59) band Wham! war born. However, it has not been confirmed whether this is actually true.
Or is it? “Yes, that was the original text,” Moses replies to the follower’s comment – jokingly, of course.
But something else is catching fans’ attention: Where did Moses actually take the selfie clip?
“Are you squatting in the tiled adjoining rooms,” notes a fan with smiley faces in tears. Because yes, it really looks like Moses is sending relaxed Easter greetings from the bowl.
“100% on the pot”, another Pelham supporter is certain and he states: “That’s where the biggest hits were always born.”
