Meissen street in Mala Strana
Malostranská Street near Charles Bridge connects Dražického náměstí with U lužického semináře street. It measures about 80 and was created after the fire of the Lesser Town in the 16th century.
It is named after the historical region of Meissen, from which German students living in the U Lužického semináře house came in the 18th century. It is the best preserved Baroque street in Prague.
The actor Eduard Vojan was born in house no. 67, and later another member of the National Theater, Zdeněk Štěpánek, lived here, who received the house U zlatého beránka from Vojan.
