Russia continues to regulate in the field of science
Russia continues to interact with China in the field of scientific and technological cooperation, which requires the involvement of the country’s universities. The corresponding statement was made by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education Alexander Mazhuga (United Russia), commenting on the words of the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) Alexander Sergeyev that partners from China have suspended cooperation with the academy.
“We especially need heads of universities and research organizations in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok. At the university level, there are no signals that cooperation has been stopped,” Mazhugi said.
By all accounts, the suspension of cooperation with the Chinese is temporary. Russian-Chinese relations in science have been going on for decades and are based on two external relations of specific higher educational institutions and research organizations. “In China and Russia, interstate relations in science are based on mutually beneficial management” – especially Mazhuga.
The deputy also said that due to the aggravation of relations in the United States and China, the Russian Federation remains a reliable partner in the field of scientific and technological cooperation for the Republic.
Earlier, we reported that the Chinese media wrote that Russia may increase its reserves in yuan. You can read more about this here.
