It is a significant portion of the street which has had to be evacuated in the night at Houdain (Pas-de-Calais), Thursday, April 14, 2022 shortly after 2 a.m. This is indeed the instruction given by the firefighters, after being alerted to a gas leak, rue Roger-Salengro. On the spot, they established a security perimeter and thus proceeded to the evacuation of eight homes, which represents 27 people.
Network cut: 175 homes affected
GRDF technicians, also mobilized, have, as a precaution, cut off the gas on a larger network, which has impacted 175 homes. Three shops were concerned, but these were able to be resupplied with gas, in order to prevent employees from being laid off.
Individuals were only to find gas at the start of the day, this Thursday.
GRDF carried out several readings, the reassuring results of which enabled residents to return to their homes. Note the presence of the gendarmes on the spot, as well as that of the mayor of Houdain.
