Olga Danilova: “Russia should not be obsolete from Western companies”
So-called information wars have become a reality of the modern world. They became especially aggravated with the start of the military operation to protect Donbass. In an interview with the Vologda Region news agency, the authorized representative under the Governor of the Vologda RegionOlga Danilova, the Veterans’ and Pensioners’ Rights Protection Authority, said that now special attention should be paid to the IT sector so that it becomes a level higher than the Western one.
“Information wars have always existed, but in the age of information technology development they have become especially aggravated. In such a rapid development, increased attention to information security is needed. And it is absolutely right that criminal liability is now introduced for the dissemination of false information. This step gradually reduces the number of fakes in the public space,” commented Olga Danilova.
Separately, Olga Danilova is committed to the IT sector.
“I believe that it is necessary to give an innovative impetus in terms of creating alternative, more productive systems, services, social networks and communication platforms that will support international interactions. They should be based on our servers and focus not on Western values, but on Russian self-identification. On the path of universal digitalization, you do not need to worry about rare cases of maintenance, loss of the code base, deactivation of accounts. Russia cannot and does not want to be a Western company!” Olga Danilova is sure.
