YouStock arrives in Lyon and reinvents storage for individuals
Because of the high price per square metre, the reduction in the surface area of housing, the absence of cellars in the new programmes, city dwellers in large conurbations lack space. To store objects that they do not use on a daily basis, they can use furniture storage or self-storage.
“These solutions are restrictive because you have to go to the box, manage the storage inventory yourself and 40% of the volume of space is unused”, points to Alexis Bouresche. It was therefore to overcome the limitations of existing services that he co-founded YouStock in 2015 and launched the concept of on-demand storage.

“Our offer is different because we offer home collection of objects, free monthly delivery and within 48 hours for up to 1 month.3an online inventory and traceability of products thanks to a QR code and photos, billing as accurately as possible with our algorithm for calculating the actual volume of stored objects…”, lists Alexis Bouresche, who specifies that all these services are digitized. Available from €17/month/m3the offer has already attracted nearly 1,300 customers in Monaco, the Alpes-Maritimes and Paris for approximately 12,000 m3 stored.
To deliver its service in Lyon and in the Rhône, YouStock, which has recruited two people, outsources collection and transport to storage sites to partners. “We have 4,000 m2 of warehouses in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, Caluire-et-Cuire, Saint-Laurent-de-Mûre and Meyzieu”says the CEO.
The start-up with 40 employees and 3 M€ in turnover wishes to develop in all French cities and in Europe from next year.
