Antonio Carapelli and the new president of the Consortium for the protection of the Palio. The prior of Tartuca he was elected at the meeting of the board of directors last night: he succeeds Gianni Morelli, rector of the Bruco and magistrate of the districts. And for Morelli it is Carapelli’s first thought: “Thanks to the outgoing president, to Nicoletta Fabio, to Fiamma Cardini and to all the members of the board of directors”.
To support Carapelli in the new board of directors there will be Marco Grandi, prior of the Chiocciola, Antonio La Marca, prior of the Tower, Andrea Bonacci, prior of the Civetta, Simone Bari (who is in charge of the project of the City of professions), Fulvio Bruni (administrator image delegate) and Paolo Bartolini (brand managing director).
“The last two years have been those of containment to compensate for the absence of our party – says Carapelli without hiding his emotion – now it is a question of resuming all activities with the aim of continuing the excellent performance of our predecessors”. “We all hope that the green light for careers will arrive – adds the president of the Consortium for the protection of the Palio – the city can no longer wait and we perceive the legitimate growing expectation on the part of all the contradaioli. We look forward to Valdimontone, which on May 1st begins to run in the canonical period, and has already sent invitations to the sisters. We all need normality ”.
“As a Consortium we know we have to face numerous problems – adds Carapelli – the first meeting was interlocutory but already next week, next week, we will begin to divide the tasks. There is a lot of work to do and we need to be up and running right away ”. Among the most important topics is the contract with Raiwhich expired two years ago and which had had an extension pending a non-running Palio.
