A popular McDonald’s trick has found its way to the menu – at least in Denmark.

The fast food chain has taken the customers’ wishes into account, and created a completely new burger variant: «Tops Burger».

– You got it. We serve it. Now it’s Tops Burger on the menu thanks to all of you who came up with putting tops on your burger, writes McDonald’s in Denmark on its Facebook account.

The new burger consists of a regular hamburger with a small upgrade: On top of the burger are three cheese-filled balls, called Chili Cheese Tops.

The news has caused Danes to go crazy, according to Danes Extra Bladet.

In a few hours, as many as 6,000 people had taken to the comments field to have their say about the new burger, according to the Danish online newspaper.

At the time of writing, has comments to 14,000.

– It’s brilliant, one writes.

Many have taken their friends, and write: “We must try it.”

– I thought I was the only one, writes another.

– Well, they have got their eyes on a classic, writes a third person.

The big question now is of course whether this «new» burger will come to Norway.

Mass search targets for burger shock

Veronika Skagestad, Head of Communications for McDonald’s Norway, can answer this:

– We are always looking for ways we can create better dining experiences for our guests, but have no plans to offer it in Norway, she writes in an email to Dagbladet.

Instead, she suggests the following:

– You can make your own version, if you wish, by ordering Chili Cheese Tops and adding them to our classic hamburger.
