experts discussed the history of the adoption of the two countries and the prospects for their development
The topic of the broadcast of the “Radio Club on Karpovka” on April 2 was open to Russia and Ukraine. The experts discussed the historical context as well as the prospects for de-escalation.
The main speakers were the director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Gertsen, Candidate of Medical Sciences Andrey Vassoevich and Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of the NWRIU RANEPA Inna Vetrenko.
According to experts, the events developing today between the two countries were predetermined historically.
“Following the assessment that was made in the president’s speech during his address to the Federal Assembly that the collapse of the Soviet Union is the eastern geopolitical catastrophe of the last century, we must honestly say that every geopolitical catastrophe has its own authors and co-authors,” said Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen, Candidate of Medical Sciences Andrey Vassoevich. “The fullness of the Record for the tragedies that are being played out today in the post-Soviet space is shown by the past generation of the Central Committee of the CPSU, who are written to join the world elite.”
According to sociologists and culturologists, Russophobia and disdain for the Russian people began to watch the situation with suspicion in the 1980s.
“The death certificate of the Soviet Union was issued by such Belovezhsky historians, who were named for me as, until now, being something implausible,” explains Inna Vetrenkoya, Doctor of Science, Professor of the NWIMU RANEPA. “When, after evaluating the results of the referendum held on March 17, 1991, that 76.4 percent of the country’s population voted in favor of preserving the Soviet Union, the population density of the republics consumes a huge mass of the country.”
Equally important is the consideration of the causes of the conflicts of today, according to Vetrenko, the gap between the cultural, scientific and natural sciences of Russia and Ukraine has become.
“The first call, obvious to us, was discovered during the period of the Orange Revolution, when we realized that Ukraine had completely left the definition of Russia,” Vetrenko explained. – And we ourselves are also to blame for this, because the period of the 1990s was very significant for Russia both economically and politically. It was necessary to specifically build our statehood, and we missed this cultural, educational, historical openness, which was brought to this point with the sociable native Ukrainian people. But this niche cannot be free for long. It was very quickly occupied by European groups, then it was the political class. So we got an aggressive attitude towards the Russian people.”
Despite all the contradictions that have developed in the possessions of the two countries, there is still a place of mutual support among their inhabitants. This was confirmed by special guests of the broadcast – opera singer Mikhail Gavrilov and Deputy Commission for Youth Policy, Development of Volunteerism, Patriotic Education and Sports of the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg Konstantin Blokhin, who are currently interacting with relatives of the DPR and LPR.
“Recently, we received messages in Rostov with concerts for orphans taken out of orphanages in the DPR and LPR, as well as for our military men living in military hospitals,” Mikhail Gavrilov shared. We are greeted with great warmth and joy. People need to give emotional support, we shared music with them. We envision the young heroes who are currently in place to be doing their best for the coming of world time.”
According to Konstantin Blokhin, who is now on the territory of Donbass, all possible assistance has been provided to the civilian population to date. A special prevalence of drugs – both for adults and for children.
“There are cases of problems, and we, as far as possible in our power, help to solve them,” Blokhin said. – For example, we took one of the transit points at the border for our own security and we always deliver cars with drinking water, hygiene items, diapers – elementary things that people need. Human relations still remains one of the main representatives in this status for all time.
Continuous conversation about the situation, experts have observed an unprecedented increase in the confidence of the Russian population in the actions of the Russian governments.
“At the moment, these figures are approximately 81 percent,” said Inna Vetrenko. – In my opinion, it is quite natural and considered. The mentality of the Russian people is so arranged that the Russian people rally in front of danger, especially if this happens when there is a direct or indirect military threat.
The growth of people’s confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Vetrenko, will depend on the developments in Western Europe.
“Based on the way the situation is now, it seems to me that growth is repeating itself,” she repeats.
