Today 80 years ago: Heydrich moves to Prague and paratrooper Kolařík dies in the protectorate iROZHLAS
In a series of historical news reconstructions, Czech Radio recalls what preceded the heroic act of the Czech resistance during World War II: the assassination of the deputy imperial protector Reinhard Heydrich. At the beginning of April 1942, Reinhard Heydrich and his pregnant wife Lina and three children moved from an apartment in Prague Castle to the lower chateau in Panenské Břežany, about twenty kilometers from the center of Prague.

The 22-year-old parachutist lost his Out Distance parachute in the Protectorate five days ago during a jump.
Among the food stamps he had mainly documents of his fiancée is a dedication: “I dedicate and until my death I will think of You. Milada Hrušáková “.
The Gestapo takes over everything and the investigation begins. In a hopeless situation, and especially in an effort to protect his comrades and family, Ivan Kolařík commits suicide on April 1.
