Sanctions against Russia in general and the Urals in particular
After leaving the Council of Europe, Russia will save about 34 million euros (more than 3 billion rubles). Nikolai Kobrinets, Director of the Department for European Cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry, announced this.
“We are [Россия] we will save about 34 million euros,” Kobrinets replied to RIA Novosti. When asked if there is a chance that the Russian Federation will meet in the Council of Europe, he used that “for this, the Council of Europe must return to its roots – become a platform for the approaching unity of Europe’s peoples, but I do not see such a possibility.”
On March 16, Russia withdrew from the Council of Europe. The ECHR said that Russia will also be excluded from the protection of human rights from September 16. Gas consumption in Russia is envisaged with the requirement to pay for membership in the amount until March 16th.
Anti-Russian appointments by Ukraine and the United States were a response to the announcement by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 of a special operation for denazification and demilitarization. Further actions of the head of the Russian state, aimed at identifying millions of Russians, have all the signs of economic, political and informational aggression.
